From her humble beginnings in Fairfield, Alabama, Tinesha’s life has been a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the power of dreaming big. Despite facing unimaginable personal tragedy, she has risen to prominence as a trailblazer in STEM and a role model for overcoming adversity.

    From Loss to Leadership

    Tinesha’s story resonates with individuals from all walks of life. Growing up in poverty and surviving the devastating loss of her mother at a young age, she faced countless challenges. However, through determination, hard work, and the support of her family, she overcame these obstacles to achieve her dream of becoming a rocket scientist. Today, Tinesha serves as Senior Manager of Engineering Operations at United Launch Alliance (ULA), where she has played a pivotal role in landmark projects such as the Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover.
